Mathew 18:20 – “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” We, the Malankara Catholic Community believes in this verse and hence we have formed the prayer groups in our community.
The primary intention of prayer groups is to bring our families and the people working here, living alone and away from family, to be together as a big family and support each other. Monthly prayer meetings are conducted at one of the residences in the area. There are special area prayers conducted during 50 noyambu and 8 noyambu.
Prayer groups are also an opportunity for our children to be associated with our community and our faith. There are MCYM and MCMF units at the prayer group level to engage the youth and mothers in the church related activities.
Dubai Malankara Catholic Community has nine prayer groups.
